We are a Web Design, Development and Inbound Marketing Company seeking a SEO strategist to work with our awesome clients. In this role, the strategist will take the initiative with technical analysis, keyword research, on-page optimization, competitive analysis, reporting, account management and general deliverable management for assigned clients.

The candidate must have a strong foundation of SEO fundamentals and current trends, and have agency experience. Ideally the candidate can also point to previous campaigns and successes in a comprehensive portfolio.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyze, develop and execute strategy as related to SEO
  • Manage workflow process of SEO deliverables including:
  • Keyword Research
  • Page optimization
  • Link acquisition strategy
  • Technical analysis
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Reporting
  • Execute complex SEO deliverables (technical analysis, content strategy, etc.) and other deliverables as needed
  • HTML, php coding where applicable
  • Client presentation of deliverables
  • Manage day-to-day account activity
  • Educate clients on best practices and overall education of SEO
  • Stay up to date and transfer knowledge of best practices and latest developments in SEO

  • Graduate or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of SEO experience
  • Previous digital agency experience preferred
  • Previous experience executing SEO campaigns
  • Additional online marketing experience preferred (SEM, social, email, display)
  • Experience with keyword research/data mining tools and competitive analysis
  • Presentation capabilities and comfort meeting with clients in person and by phone
  • Knowledge of HTML required
  • CSS, Java-script, Flash, AJAX and/or other technologies preferred
  • Intermediate / advanced Excel skills
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (.php, .aspx, .jsp) a plus
  • Previous experience with site migrations a huge plus
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (WordPress, Drupal, Magento, Joomla)
  • Solid understanding of redirects, user-agent detect scripting, rel=”canonical” tags, XML sitemap feeds and other related technical tactics
  • Previous link optimization / acquisition experience
  • Understanding web analytics software (Google Analytics)
  • Understanding web analytics software (Google Analytics)
  • Content strategy as it relates to search and the consumer decision process
  • Excellent knowledge of search engine criteria / algorithm updates (Panda, Penguin)
  • Ability to manage and communicate SEO as a business strategy
  • Experience in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project)
